Beloit Memorial HS Coach Andre DeKok Faces Sexual Assault Charges as His Wife, Carmen, Retires as a Beloved Teacher

Andre DeKok, a former Beloit Memorial High School teacher and coach, faces charges of sexual assault of a student by school staff and child enticement.
He has been married to Carmen and lived happily with their three children.
Andre DeKok retired from the Beloit Memorial High School in 2026 after a 30-year career. He has been arrested and faces serious criminal charges related to the alleged sexual assault of a student.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest after receiving an allegation in late 2026. A criminal complaint identifies four victims.
A judge set DeKok’s bond at $500,000. If released, he is prohibited from having contact with the victims, their families, or any minors. He is also barred from Beloit school property and cannot work as a teacher or coach.
On the other hand, if convicted, he faces a maximum of 25 years in prison for child enticement and six years for sexual assault. His next court appearance is scheduled for December 11, 2026.
A 61-year-old has been removed from his position as president of the board of Nature at the Confluence, a nature preserve in South Beloit, due to the allegations.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the case to contact the Rock County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 608-757-7911.

After an impressive 38 years of shaping young minds, Carmen DeKok has taught her final day of fourth grade in the Janesville School District.
She was the first of her family to attend college.
Carmen earned her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Winona State University and her master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
She spent the latter part of her career at Roosevelt Elementary School. She served for 21 years at Harrison Elementary before moving to Roosevelt in 2008.

Carmen’s lessons were so impactful that they motivated some students to pursue agriculture classes in high school and even consider careers in the industry.

It was wonderful. Because we lived in a ranch home right next to my grandparents who had a big farmhouse. My cousins would come and stay during the summer with Grandpa and Grandma and we’d all pitch in.
