The Broussard, Louisiana, community is mourning the untimely death of beloved native and standout athlete, Jacob Wayne Wallace.
Jacob Wallace passed away on November 30, 2026, at an untimely age of 13.
While his family hasn’t disclosed the details surrounding his untimely death, his mother shared a post revealing that Jacob was in the ICU in critical condition, battling for his life before his passing.
The post reads:
“We are in the final 12-24 hours of my Jacob’s battle to live. We will lose our son. We ask for prayers of comfort and peace for the ones left behind. Thank you for the love and prayers everyone has given us. You have no idea how much it has helped us.”
Jessica Beaumont WallaceBorn on September 18, 2012, Jacob Wayne Wallace was a cherished member of Broussard’s sports community and touched the lives of many with his amazing athletic skills and cheerful nature.
He attended Broussard Middle School and was an 8th-grade student-athlete playing for the boys’ wrestling team.
With his remarkable wrestling skills, Jacob won several honorable titles. He had recently won 1st place in the Sulphur Jr. Strom Wrestling tournament, making his family and loved ones proud.
In addition to being an exceptional wrestler, Jacob had an immense love for music and played saxophone in the school band.
His kind and loving nature and his remarkable sports journey will always be remembered.
Many of his loved ones are paying tribute to the late Jacob Wayne Wallace on social media and extending their heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.
One wrote:
“My heart breaks for your family!!! Jacob was such a sweet kid! We will always remember him from our years to grow days 💔♥️🙏praying for you!”
Another added:
“I am so sorry for your loss. While words can’t ease your pain, may you find comfort in knowing that Jacob is rejoicing in heaven and watching over you. His spirit will always be with you, bringing love and warmth.”
Jacob Wayne Wallace is Survived By His Parents, Steven and Jessica, Sister and The Entire Family
Jacob Wayne Wallace was the beloved and youngest child of Steven and Jessica Wallace.
While his parents haven’t shared any statement regarding the untimely death of their beloved son, Jacob Wallace, as they are currently grieving, they often share his pictures on social media expressing love and pride.
In addition to being an amazing son to Steven and Jessica, Jacob was a loving brother to his elder sister, Stella Wallace.
Jacob Wayne Wallace also leaves behind his maternal grandmother, Cindy Beaumont, his paternal grandmother, Claudia Wallace, his aunts Stacy Wallace, Amber Wallace, and Rachel Beaumont, his uncles, Scott Wallace and Bobby Beaumont, his cousins, Morgan Wallace, Alex Ross, Ava Moreau, Cody Wallace, William Wallace, Anthony Beaumont, and E.J. Beaumont and the entire family.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bob Beaumont, and his paternal grandfather, Donald Wallace.
Jacob’s family has organized a for him on Saturday, December 13, 2026, at 1:00 PM in Martin & Castille’s La Fleur de Lis Chapel in Lafayette.
The family will receive guests at the Martin & Castille Funeral Home Southside location on Friday, December 12, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
