According to court records, he was charged with multiple felonies and misdemeanors, including aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle and endangering the welfare of a child.

A deputy noted a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, and his blood alcohol content was later measured at 0.20%, which is more than twice the legal limit.

The Sabres organization stated they are aware of the situation but have no further comment.
