A mother exposes bullying at Macomb 185 schools after a freshman’s desperate Snapchat plea, calls out inaction as her son faces racism.

Kali Shelton, a mom from the Macomb area, took to Facebook to express her frustration over how the local high school, part of the Macomb 185 district, is handling bullying.

It started when one of her kids’ friends came up to her with a Snapchat story that made her stomach drop.

Kali watched the video with the girl, and it was bad enough that she picked up the phone and called the cops right away.

Officers arrived, viewed the clips for themselves, and had her copy everything onto a flash drive to take with them.

According to Kali’s post, the video showed a freshman boy, just starting in high school, breaking down on camera. He was begging and pleading with whoever was around him to stop the bullying.

It went on for minutes, and Kali said it was really heartbreaking to watch.

The kid straight-up said he’d had enough of the principal ignoring the whole mess. And from what Kali’s seen herself, she believes every word of it.

He even warned that if the bullying kept up, people could get hurt or worse. Then he threw in a clip from some song with lyrics about “Mack 11’s send y’all to heaven,” which sounds like a straight-up threat.

Kali then said if she were in the dark as another parent, she’d want someone to tell her. She is calling out the school for not being transparent about what happened that day.

The school is not being 100% forthcoming with all of the information and all of the incidents today.

Apparently, this Snapchat incident occurred after another incident she had already reported to the police, and she received a call from an officer with an update on that one.

She expressed her frustration:

School shootings happen so often in the US and most of the time there were social media red flags before the actual violence that were not acknowledged or taken seriously.

Above all, this isn’t just about one video for Kali. Her own son has been through hell at Macomb High School.

She revealed that kids have called him the N-word, body-shamed him, added him to group chats named “The Plantation,” and sent him texts joking about picking him up for his “slave shift.”

They’d pick on him at lunch, too. Unless she had rock-solid proof, nothing much happened.

She didn’t go into the details of how it had messed with his life, but you could tell it hurt her deeply to see how it had changed him.

The school talks a big game about zero tolerance for bullying and racism, but Kali says their actions tell a different story.

Kali said that one boy, who used to crack racist jokes all the time, punched another kid right in the face and bullied pretty much everyone, was back on the football team this year.

I see that boy who constantly made racist jokes, punched a kid in the face, and was a bully to most was back on the football team this year?

Kali says that if people haven’t heard about how he’s been mistreated, they should look into it.

She wrapped it up by saying, “Macomb 185 Schools, we see you.” It’s clear she’s done waiting for them to step up.
