Haley Kreidel faces backlash and people called for her removal for mocking Charlie Kirk’s death on social media; however, no official decision has been made so far.

A 911 emergency dispatcher in Nashville, Tennessee, Haley Kreidel, is in serious trouble after posting controversial content online following the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Following her controversial post, people have begun urging the Metro Nashville Department of Emergency Communications to remove Haley Kreidel from her position.

Kreidel works for Metro Nashville’s Department of Communications, where she answers emergency calls and sends help from police, fire, and EMS across Davidson County.

On September 10, 2026, Charlie Kirk was shot and killed during an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

Soon after news broke that Charlie Kirk was shot and killed at a college event in Utah, Haley mocked his demise.

She posted a cartoon on Instagram showing Kirk with a bullet wound in his neck and blood pouring out.

The image included the words “Debate This,” a reference to Kirk’s work in debates.

Likewise, she also shared a news headline about his death with the song “No One Mourns the Wicked” playing in the background.

These posts quickly spread online, and many people, including political commentator , called for Haley to be fired.

Laura shared screenshots and demanded that Kreidel be fired right away.

She that Kreidel’s actions made her a danger to the public, especially conservatives who might call 911.

She questioned whether Kreidel would help someone based on their political views.

Following her tweet, others joined in, posting messages like “Fire Haley Kreidel now” and tagging the department’s account.

Likewise, comedian Terence K. Williams also called for her dismissal on Facebook, saying she had no place in emergency services.

In no time, the backlash grew like a wildfire. By September 11, Nashville 911 responded to the complaints, saying they knew about the social media post and were looking into it seriously.

Later that day, they confirmed that the employee in question had been placed on unpaid administrative leave while the investigation was ongoing.

Her social media accounts have since disappeared, and her LinkedIn profile is no longer visible.

As of now, Haley has not been officially fired, but the pressure is growing.

People across social media are demanding action, saying someone with such extreme views shouldn’t be working in public safety.
