Rickey Gadson shared the devastating news of his daughter’s death, describing it as the loss of his last baby.
Laila, only 18 and in her second year of college, succumbed to a sudden illness, leaving behind a legacy of joy, intelligence, and radiant spirit.
Chris Jones, a longtime family friend, recalled spending time with Laila just days before her death, riding scooters in Valdosta and enjoying the racetrack where she grew up alongside his daughter.
