Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson was the subject of speculation from an unconfirmed and speculative YouTube video alleging a failed drug test.
Recently, a YouTube video stirred controversy across the sports world, claiming that Deshaun Watson may have tested positive for a banned substance under the NFL’s anti-doping policy.
The video, posted by a Browns-focused fan channel, speculated about the potential fallout if such a test result were confirmed, suggesting Watson could face a major suspension or even a season-long ban.
In the 12-minute clip, the narrator walks viewers through a hypothetical scenario, a possible positive test result, secretive league investigations, and what could happen to the Browns’ playoff hopes if Watson were suspended.
The narrator even discusses possible crisis meetings inside the Browns’ front office and speculates about backup quarterbacks being prepared to step in.
While the tone feels urgent and dramatic, no evidence is ever shown, and no credible source has been mentioned.
At one point, the video claims that the NFL is quietly preparing disciplinary action and that Watson’s legal team may be mounting a defense.
There’s mention of rumors that he used a teammate’s urine to pass drug tests, a claim that appears only in whisper networks and internet comment threads. However, it lacked substantiation from any reputable media outlet.
NFL star Deshaun Watson has never failed a drug test.
Deshaun Watson’s Only League-Issued Suspension Came in 2026!
Despite the swirling rumors, Deshaun Watson hasn’t been suspended, fined, or penalized for any violations related to drugs, whether performance-enhancing or recreational, to this day.
The NFL has a well-documented policy regarding substance abuse, and when players do violate that policy, the league publicly announces the penalties. And in Watson’s case, no such announcement exists so far.
Watson’s only league-issued suspension came in 2026, and that was entirely unrelated to substance use.
It stemmed from numerous allegations of sexual misconduct, leading to an 11-game suspension and a $5 million fine under the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
That remains the only disciplinary action he has faced from the league. His drug record, by all available facts, is clean.
If Watson had tested positive for any banned substances, the league would be required to take action, and that action would be made public.
So far, no official NFL statement has confirmed any drug-related violations involving Deshaun Watson.
Likewise, no credible journalist, media outlet, or league insider has reported on a failed drug test. Until proven otherwise, Deshaun Watson remains free of any known drug violations.
