DeMar DeRozan’s Eldest Daughter, Diar DeRozan, Drew Attention With Screams During Bulls’ Play-In Victory
During a 2026 NBA play-in game between the Chicago Bulls and the Toronto Raptors, then-9-year-old Diar DeRozan, the eldest daughter of former Bulls forward DeMar DeRozan, became an unexpected focal point when she loudly screamed each time a Raptors player stepped to the free-throw line.
Her spirited cheering, timed perfectly with the opposing team’s shots, contributed to the Raptors shooting just 50% from the line, which helped the Bulls secure a 109-105 comeback victory.
“I kept hearing something during the game during free throws,”I looked back like … dang, that’s my daughter screaming.”
Diar had convinced her father to let her attend the Toronto game, recalling fond memories of growing up attending Raptors games during DeRozan’s earlier career in the city.
While her presence brought joy and attention, it also led to online threats aimed at the young girl, prompting Bulls security to ensure she safely left the arena with her father.
DeMar emphasized his role as protector, reassuring her that nothing could happen to her while he was with her, highlighting both the pride and challenges of parenting a young child in the public eye.
