New Bedford Single-Car Crash Claims Dennis-Yarmouth High School Soccer Standout Gabriel Siqueira, 17, Survived by His Parents, Zaine and Marcio

Gabriel Bertoldi Siqueira, a West Yarmouth, MA resident and standout high school athlete, passed away in a tragic car accident on Saturday, November 1, 2026, at an untimely age of 17.
Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III a serious single-vehicle crash in New Bedford early Saturday morning claimed the lives of two teenagers, including a Dennis-Yarmouth High School senior, Gabriel Siqueira.
According to the District Attorney’s Office, the Massachusetts State Police received a 911 call just before 2 a.m. regarding a crash near mile marker 2.1 on Route 140 southbound.
When emergency personnel arrived, they found a gray 2019 Honda Civic with heavy passenger-side damage in a wooded area off the right side of the roadway.
17-year-old-Gabriel Siqueira was found nearby with severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Alongside Gabriel, a 15-year-old female was also located in the area with life-threatening injuries.
She was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Authorities have not yet released her identity.
Similarly, the driver, an 18-year-old male from Dartmouth, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office is leading the inquiry, with assistance from Massachusetts State Police troopers.
Furthermore, the untimely death of Gabriel Siqueira has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and loved ones.
Gabriel touched the lives of many in West Yarmouth with his exceptional athletic skills and his kind nature.
A senior at Dennis-Yarmouth High School, Gabriel was also a cherished member of the boys’ varsity soccer team and was set to graduate in 2026.
Wearing jersey #19, Gabriel led his team, the Dolphins, to several victories and won several honorable titles.
Social Media is Filled With Heartfelt Tributes to Late Gabriel Siquiera
Many of Gabriel’s loved ones are sharing their memories of him on social media and extending their heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.
Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School took to its official social media to pay tribute to its beloved student-athlete and express its sorrow.
The post reads:
“It is with a heavy heart that I share the deeply saddening news of the passing of one of our students, Gabriel Siquiera. Gabriel was not just a senior in our school, but a cherished member of our community and an inspiring varsity soccer player. His presence touched the lives of many.he Dennis-Yarmouth School District stands fully by Gabriel’s family, offering them our deepest condolences and unwavering support.”
During this difficult time, the high school is also providing grief counseling services throughout this week for both students and staff, ensuring that no one has to navigate their grief alone.
Similarly, the boys’ soccer team also took to its Instagram to pay tribute to their beloved member and wrote:
“Today, we mourn the loss of our teammate, friend, and brother, Gabriel Siqueira.
Gabriel was more than just a player — he was a source of energy, passion, and inspiration to everyone around him.His spirit, dedication, and smile will forever remain in our hearts.We send our deepest condolences and love to his family and friends.Rest in peace, Gabriel. You will always be part of our family and our game.”
Gabriel is survived by his parents, Zaine and Marcio Siqueira, his brother Samuel, his grandparents, and the entire family.
While his family hasn’t released any statement regarding the untimely death of Gabriel Siqueira, as they are currently grieving the loss, the MA community has created a to help the family cover the expenses of the funeral and memorial services.
The fundraiser aimed to collect $20k, which has been exceeded. To date, around $25,982 has been raised, demonstrating that Gabriel touched the lives of many in the community with his kind-hearted and respectful nature.
Gabriel’s remarkable sports journey and his contribution to the community will always be remembered.
