Dee Skii, a Doss High School football player, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 15 on December 28, 2026.
His family hasn’t revealed the cause of death, but hopes everyone involved gets punished.
Dee Skii was more than just a football player from Doss High School.
He was a young man with a bright future, known for his hard work on the field and his good character off it. Every year, he would approach his coach with a heartfelt request not to let others wear jersey number 12.
While the reason behind his specific request for number 12 remains a personal story, it became a touching part of his team’s season.
His family stood firmly behind him and invested in his athletic journey, cheering him on through every practice and game.

Dee Skii, the son of and , was born in 2010 in Louisville, Kentucky. Rose is a proud mother of 6 children.
Skii was a beloved son, teammate, and friend who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 15.
Skii was a dedicated member of the Doss High School football team. His commitment and spirit earned him the respect and affection of his coaches and fellow players.
His family remembers him as a joyful young man with a bright smile, and he loved spending time with his many siblings, cousins, and friends.
His untimely passing leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew him.

Skii is survived by his parents, DaeShon Lunsford and Rose Rose; siblings; uncles, Ike Gardiner and Hubba Lee; aunts, Damon Ashford, Eboni Eyes, and Erica Bonner; grandfather, Reses Ganes; cousin, Martina Hammon; and a wide circle of extended family, teammates, and friends.
The family has not publicly disclosed the cause of death. In their grief, they express a heartfelt hope that everyone involved is held accountable.
