A father named Michael Tunstall shares his daughter’s bullying ordeal at Feagin Mill Middle School after an 8th-grade football player injured her with no school action.
Michael Tunstall took to his Facebook to reveal what happened to his daughter at Feagin Mill Middle School.
He said his daughter had had enough after three years of dealing with bullying, and yesterday it got way worse. His daughter got pushed down hard by an 8th-grade football player, and the school still isn’t doing much about it.
In the post, Michael says his daughter has been through all kinds of bullying for the last three years. That includes mean words, getting shoved around, scary threats, and just feeling intimidated all the time. He wrote:
For the last 3 years, my daughter, has been enduring every aspect of bullying.. verbal, physical, intimidation, threats, etc.
Every time something happened, Michael talked to the principals, vice principals, counselors, teachers, coaches, even the police from Warner Robins and the Houston County Sheriff’s office.
Likewise, Michael Tunstall also went to the Board of Education.
In fact, he reported everything and asked for help, like changing classes, switching bus rides, or letting his daughter leave school early or late to avoid trouble.
Michael revealed that things had gotten a bit better; however, yesterday it blew up again, saying:
Situations have settled down from a 10 to a 6 but yesterday rose to a level of 15..
Reportedly, it occurred during PE class when the football player pushed Michael’s daughter to the ground onto the concrete because of some words she had said.
She got hurt badly, scraped her knees, banged up her elbows, hit her head, and her stomach too.
Michael went to pick her up at the end of the day and couldn’t find her anywhere. When he walked into the school, she heard her daughter screaming in pain.
He revealed that his daughter never cries, so he knew it was serious. He rushed over and asked what was wrong, and she told him what the boy did.
On top of that, the staff asked Michael what happened, as if he were in class. He said:
Staff asked me what happened as if I was in PE with her.. Madness level escalated even further.. as I expressed my hate for their staff and lack of responsibility to protect mine as well as other kids.
Upset and furious, Michael yelled about how they don’t protect kids, including his daughter.
Then he stormed out to find the school resource officer, who knows him from all the past times. He told Michael to calm down or he’d get arrested.
Listening to that, Michael replied with anger, saying:
Calm down??? My daughter is hurt, you’re unaware.
He said the school is unaware of the situation, and the boy was getting ready for football practice like nothing had happened.
They said it was the end of the day, so they’d look into it tomorrow. But then they charged Michael with disruptive behavior right then.
Michael owned up to losing his cool, saying that his dad instincts kicked in first, not his head. However, he didn’t threaten anyone or break anything.
As someone who was bullied poorly as a kid himself, it just set him off. Michael said he could have done worse than yell, but he didn’t.
Please talk to your kids more about the results of bullying because I could have been waaayyyy worse than words.
“Feagin Mill Middle School..I said what I said and still hate you guys wholeheartedly. You truly have no interest in protecting OUR children, still after 3 years..” Michael ended his post.
