Fort Worth, Texas Resident and Father of Former Turner High School Multi-Sports Athlete Nelson Victorio, Nelson Victorio Camilo, 56, Dies After Tracheostomy Complication Following Serious Throat Injury

The Fort Worth, Texas, community is mourning the untimely death of beloved resident Nelson Victorio Camilo.
According to Nelson Victorio, a former Turner High School standout athlete, his father, Nelson Victorio Camilo, suffered a serious throat injury that required a tracheostomy following a stay in the ICU.
Despite his incredible strength and will to live, Nelson Victorio Camilo tragically passed away on December 20, 2026, after his tracheostomy became clogged on his way home, cutting off his oxygen.
Nelson Victorio Camilo was 56.
Born on March 25, 1969, in Tapachula, Chiapas, Mexico, Nelson Victorio Camilo was a longtime resident of Texas and touched the lives of many in the community with his kind nature and his journey as a great father.
He guided his son, Nelson Alejandro Victorio, to be an exceptional athlete from a very young age.
Nelson’s son, Nelson Victorio, a proud 2019 graduate of Turner High School, excelled in both wrestling and football and led his teams in several victories throughout his journey.
Furthermore, Nelson Victorio paid tribute to his late father, Nelson Victorio Camilo, and recalled him as a ‘man who made every single person within 5 minutes of being in his presence.’
He also added that the late Nelson was a man of faith and strength, overcoming many obstacles and sacrificing so much to give his family a better future.
Nelson Victorio Camilo’s love for music and dance was immense, and he instilled a passion for music in his children and family. He never stopped working and was productive, inspiring many in the community.
Nelson Vicotio also created a to honor his late father’s life and to cover the funeral and burial expenses.
In addition to his son, Nelson Victorio Camilo is survived by his father, Berzain, his wife, Eulalia, his other sons, Ricardo Alfonso, Bryan Alexander, and Bradley, his only daughter, Nelly, his siblings, Eric, Ricardo, Alfonso, Freddy, Jimmy, Jose, Edelmira, Magda, and Connie.
He also leaves behind his six adorable grandchildren. Nelson will always be remembered by his family, friends, and loved ones.
Family has organized a funeral and for the late Nelson Victorio Camilo on Friday, December 26, 2026, at Nueva Vida Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas. He will be buried at Mountain Creek Cemetery in Grand Prairie, Texas.
