The parents from Texas are raising concerns after a troubling incident at Cobb Middle School.

A local parent reported that her daughter was threatened by another student, who allegedly said he was going to harm her the following day.

Concerned for her child’s safety, the parent emailed the school to inform them and decided her daughter would not attend school on Friday.

The student who made the threat is also a middle schooler and lives in the same community.

The post, shared in a local Frisco ISD parents’ Facebook group, quickly drew responses from other members.

One participant recommended using the Stoplt app, which sends alerts directly to the school resource officer and administrators.

Another commenter emphasized reporting to the principal, assistant principal, and school counselor, noting that even during spring break, the situation should not be ignored.

Yoon Kim stressed the legal implications, ,

Need to call Frisco PD. This is a felony offense.

Similarly, Angie Quoyeser Rothermel noted,

I thought this is spring break for Frisco ISD.
Call Frisco Police Dept.

One parent recalled a near-identical incident involving her son in eighth grade. She explained that the school administration only suspended the student for one day, despite the severity of the threat.

An almost identical happened to my son in 8th grade. Please report to the authorities- school admin did nothing but suspend the other student for one day. This was 4 years ago and I’m STILL so salty over how it was handled. Uvalde happened two days after the incident at school. To say my kid was emotionally affected would be a gross understatement.

Anonymous participant 137 shared frustration, saying that when her son was threatened, the school took no action because no one else witnessed the incident.

Moreover, anonymous participant 785 echoed the concern, urging parents to protect their children by involving law enforcement, noting,

Report it to the local authorities, protect your daughter . Police department will investigate both the house hold and make sure that the kid is not mentally unstable. People always see red flags and brush them off until later it’s too late .

Anonymous participant 785

Carmen M Konert expressed broader concerns about public schools, ,

Get them sweet kids out of the public school system 🏫. It going down hill faster and faster each year.
Also, you need to call Frisco PD. This is a felony offense.

Similarly, Sandy L. Burrell recommended contacting the assistant principal immediately, while Zoobia Siddiqi emphasized documenting every incident in writing for official records.

Brandi Kuykendall reflected on the long-term impact, noting that such threats are a major reason she left Frisco ISD. She urged parents to take swift action, saying,

Seems like this parent and I would be having a talk. The necessary people would be emailed and an incident report would be made with police. This has got to stop. This is why I left FISD
