Wesley Kosko shares his painful experience at a toxic Walgreens job in Sioux City, feeling hated and betrayed, including being hated by the wrestling coach.
A man named Wesley Allen Kosko took to his Facebook to share his experiences of being hated, betrayed, and pushed out of what he calls the worst job he ever had.
On September 10, 2026, while hiking the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), he wrote a raw and honest reflection about his two years working as a pharmacist at a Walgreens in Sioux City, Iowa, on his Facebook.
This wasn’t his usual trail update. Instead, it was a deep dive into the pain of being disliked for no clear reason and a step toward healing through forgiveness.
Wesley revealed that he has been hiking the PCT to process those tough years in Sioux City.
Just a year ago, on September 9, 2026, he walked away from that job, which left him feeling used and unappreciated.
He said that he has been replaying the events in his mind and trying to make sense of why things went.
Wesley then said that from the very moment he started at Walgreens, he felt like everyone hated him.
He said he doesn’t know why, but it seems to be a pattern, before jotting down his bitter experiences over the years.
In high school, a wrestling coach and math teacher didn’t like him. In college, a special teams football coach had it out for him.
Similarly, even his microbiology lab partner seemed to take an instant dislike to him. And the sad part is that it continued to happen at different jobs.
Wesley wonders if he’s the common thread. He asked himself why people who don’t even know him seem to think, “I hate this guy” from the start.
He then says that he was raised to believe hard work pays off, and he gave everything to his pharmacy career, just like he did in every other aspect of his life.
But at Walgreens, the harder he worked, the more he felt taken advantage of by people above him, below him, and even at his level.
A temporary manager disliked him from day one and filed false reports against him.
Wesley says this manager had a known history of drug and gambling problems, yet corporate believed them over him—a pharmacist with eight years of experience and a spotless record.
Above all, when Wesley tried to fight back by showing proof of the manager’s wrongdoing and even inappropriate touching, no one listened.
Feeling ignored and betrayed, he quit as soon as his contract ended. He hoped that the Walgreens store would close, but it’s still open.
In his post, Wesley called out the company’s toxic culture, saying they don’t prioritize patients and won’t improve until they fix how they treat people.
As he writes this out on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), he has been finding ways to heal.
He’s been reading The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins, listening to the Bible, and watching The Chosen.
These have helped him realize he needs to let go of the anger and forgive those who hurt him. He wrote:
They reminded me to let them be that way, but let me be my way and forgive.
In his post, Wesley listed the names of the people he feels wronged him at Walgreens. However, he clarified that he isn’t naming them to shame them but to let go of the pain they caused and free himself from the weight of it all.
