The unexpected passing of 21-year-old Gabriel Thomas Allen has saddened his close-knit community in Union County, Ohio.
Gabe, known for his bright smile and limitless energy, was a young man full of promise.

Gabe, as everyone called him, grew up in Magnetic Springs, Ohio, raised by his mother, Christina Allen, in nearby Richwood.
He graduated from North Union High School, where he was recognized as a solid student and a standout athlete who consistently brought energy and heart to his performances.
His sister Laycee Hatcher, a former Triad High School cheerleader, shared her grief openly on Facebook.

, Gabriel was driving south on Sandusky Road when he lost control of his vehicle.
The car drifted off to the right side of the road, and when he tried to correct it, the vehicle swung sharply to the left, struck a utility pole, spun into a field, and rolled over.
Gabriel was partially ejected and rushed to Union Memorial Hospital in Marysville, where he later died.
A 19-year-old passenger, Kitanna Lowry of Richwood, was fully ejected and taken to the same hospital with injuries.
She is recovering, though details about her condition remain private. Alcohol is suspected as a factor, and the crash is still under investigation.
Christina Allen, Gabriel’s mother, also turned to Facebook to express her pain.
“This life will never be the same without you bub I’m going to miss you so very much. Your bright spirit is something that brought such joy to my life. You rest easy son, sure is going to be hard here without you. I love you now and always Gabriel Thomas Allen. Forever 21.”
