Georgia Resident Eddie Reeves Passed Away Shortly After Experiencing A Serious Health Issue While Playing Tennis!

Eddie Reeves, a cherished member of the MHS Class of 1983, passed away suddenly on September 23, 2026, leaving behind his family and entire community.

As per the tribute message, he experienced a brief illness that began with a serious health issue while playing tennis on Saturday.

Friends and family had , saying:

My great friend Eddie Reeves had a serious health issue on Saturday while playing tennis, please pray for him & his Family.

But tragically, he succumbed just a few days later. No public details have been released about the cause, and funeral arrangements remain pending.

Eddie Reeves Was A Proud Graduate And Long Time President Of Milton High School!

Known for his tireless dedication and leadership, Eddie served as class president for many years.

He graduated from Milton High School in 1983 and played a key role in organizing the 40th reunion just a few years ago.

A longtime resident of Calhoun, Georgia, Eddie built a respected career at Shaw Industries Group, Inc.

Over the years, he played a key role in guiding projects and supporting younger associates.

Beyond his work, Eddie was actively involved in local volunteer efforts.

He contributed to community initiatives and offered support to neighbors and friends alike.

His unexpected passing came on the same day the community mourned the loss of Cheryl Anderson.

His friends paid tribute to both individuals, saying:

So incredibly sad. Both Cheryl and Eddie were such wonderful humans. I have never known anything but kindness from each of them. My prayers are covering both families. 

Tributes have poured in from loved ones, including close family members and friends, who remember Eddie as a fantastic leader and a loyal friend.

One of his friends wrote on social media saying:

Eddie was one of the first guys I met when I started at MHS. Always a very kind, disciplined, positive, upbeat guy. He will be sorely missed.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Stephanie; his daughter, Bailey; his son, Rucker; his mother, Linda; and the entire Reeves Family.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been finalized. Thoughts and prayers continue to be with his family during this difficult time.
