Jayden Reed, the Green Bay Packers’ Wide Receiver’s brother, was embraced by his brother when Jayden Reed got to the hospital after learning of his father’s death, back in 2015.

Sabian, Jayden’s father, died of Kidney Failure and heart complications on September 12, 2015.

The WR, who was just 15 at the time, was consoled by his brother and didn’t refuse to give up.

The Reed family was living in Naperville, Illinois, after they moved from the West Side of Chicago due to violence and instability. Jayden was attending Aetea Valley High School, and was in Sophomore year during 2015.

A Footballing Brother

When Jayden was still developing as a football player, he was also playing for the Naperville Chargers and had already met Payton Throne; both were 12 years old and in eighth grade.

Throne was playing a QB, and Throne even gave him a nickname, “bird,” due to his sprinting style.

They spent over five years together in youth (Naperville Chargers), high school (Naperville Central), and college football (Michigan State). “That’s my brother. I’ve played with him, I’ve known him for a long time. When he’s out there, it’s really nothing new to me,” Jayden on Payton on a press conference in 2026.

After spending several years together, climbing through the ranks, the Football brothers, Jayden and Payton, are both in the NFL.

Jayden entered the NFL on April 28, 2026, after the Packers drafted him in the 2nd round. He made his debut on the biggest Football stage on September 10, 2026. Since then, it has been featured in over 30 games.

On the other hand, Payton, though a great Prospect coming out of Michigan State, has yet to feature in the NFL, although he has signed with the Cincinnati Bengals just after the April 2026 draft.

The quarterback was added to the practice squad and offseason roster, but is not registered as an active 53-man roster.
