The Wichita community is heartbroken after the tragic death of Travon “Coach Factor” Stewart, a beloved youth sports pillar.
He was shot and killed on October 23, 2026, while coaching at a youth football game at Dr. Glen Dey Park in Atlanta.
The news was delivered in the most devastating way to his family. His brother, Romondo Scott, shared the trauma of receiving that life-altering call.
The traumatizing feeling of getting the phone call that your baby brother has been shot and killed while coaching at a youth football game fundraising for the team to travel. Now we prepare to lay him to rest peacefully if you have it in your hearts to donate towards the cost of funeral/burial we would greatly appreciate it.
Coach Factor was at the field that day doing what he loved most: fundraising for his team.
His passion extended beyond football, focusing on teaching children the importance of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance.
His life was cut short by senseless gun violence, leaving a deep void in his family, his friends, and the many young lives he inspired.
A fundraiser has been established to help his family with funeral costs and to provide support during this unimaginable time.
