JD Burns, a longtime softball coach and community advocate, posted a strongly worded message on Facebook in response to an incident at A.C. Blunt Middle School.

In his post, Burns expressed outrage over a coach allegedly telling girls in his softball program:

go tell your parents and nothing will happen to me.

Burns emphasized his deep connection to the students, saying:

No sir you got me mistaken , those are MY girls I’ve coached for years and I’m not letting this go till we are face to face my friend . These girls are all like daughters to me and you will be held accountable like everyone else is at their jobs .

His post was a response to an email from Interim Superintendent Wayne Bennett, who acknowledged the allegations and confirmed that an investigation had been launched.

Softball Coach Demanded Accountability From the School Administration!

In his post, made it clear that he would not let the issue be swept under the rug.

He called out the coach’s alleged arrogance and disrespect, and demanded accountability.

Burns’ focus was not only on the inappropriate comments but also on the broader culture of accountability within the school system.

He expressed frustration with the lack of transparency and vowed to pursue the matter until he could confront the coach directly.

In his post, many community members have expressed their outrage, frustration, and support for JD Burns’ stance.

They shared their point of view, highlighting their disappointment with the school’s response and their concern for the students involved.

One commenter pointed out failures in staff accountability, saying:

That’s so wild and for a female to jump on the wagon instead of shutting it down and doing her job

Another suggested alternative schooling as a solution, and said:

AP has really gone down with a lot of things. Let me guess there has to be a level of how bad it is to take action….It’s all bullshit!! You should enroll them in Ingleside, way better school and better academic for your girls. Hope it gets better for you JD.

Likewise, another one said:

This coach gonna find out why people don’t like me real quick,

These reactions highlight a broader demand for transparency, respect, and meaningful consequences within the school system.
