LA Runner Jawan Pitts from Survivor 49 Wants to Inspire His Siblings by Taking on the Show!

Jawan Pitts, the eldest of five siblings, is stepping into the world of Survivor 49 on September 24, 2026, with a clear goal in mind.
His presence on Survivor 49, which begins on September 24, 2026, on CBS, is more than just a game for him. It is a way to build pride in his family and encourage his siblings to chase their own dreams.
A 28-year-old video editor from Los Angeles has been a significant figure in his siblings’ lives, whom they always look up to.
When asked about the reason for participating in Survivor 49, he answered without hesitation, citing that one of the reasons is to inspire his siblings.
He wants to inspire them by showing them what is possible through hard work and determination. He said:
Survivor inspired me to dream big and be open to learning about others. Now it’s my turn to go on, kick butt, and inspire my siblings.
As the oldest of five siblings, Pitts has spent much of his life looking out for them. Growing up, he often stayed home to watch over his younger siblings.
Now, on this reality show, he sees a chance to lead by example.

Jawan Pitts’s Mother and Grandmother Played a Significant Role in His and His Siblings Upbringing !
comes from a close-knit family that faced many hardships but always found a way to move ahead.
His mother had him when she was just 16 years old. She raised him and his brother on her own in a tough neighborhood in South Jersey.
Since she was the sole breadwinner of the family, they were tight on money. Still, she prioritized their needs over hers.
His mother ensured they had opportunities to play sports, study hard, learn music, and participate in after-school activities.
Today, his parents, including his mother, run a successful business. That said, details surrounding his father aren’t known.
Besides his mother, his maternal grandmother played a big part in his early years.
After his mother became a parent at such a young age, it was his grandmother who stepped in to offer support.
She appreciated his grandmother for staying calm and standing tall as the support system even during the darkest days.
During the interview, he said:
my grandma stepped in and became a positive foundation in my life. I was inspired by the way she stayed calm in the midst of trials. She passed away about a year ago. I’m hoping to make her proud
Pitts moved to Los Angeles in 2026 with little more than hope and a small amount of savings. There, he built a life in video editing while staying connected to his roots.
