Joe’s greatest joy and proudest legacy was his family.
He is survived by his mother, ; life partner, ; and their two cherished children, Marlee and Jackson Guthrie.
He was a dedicated father and enthusiastic presence in their children’s lives, sharing glimpses of their personal lives on social media.
He shared his passions with his son and coached his football career from the sidelines at Laurel High School. Likewise, they shared the quiet camaraderie of a hunting trip or cheering together for their favorite football teams.
He was a dog lover and raised a pet dog that was always by his family.
