Marysville High Football Players Yell Racial Slurs Across the Street While Coaches Stand Silently Beside Them and Do Nothing

Isabelle Brock, a Facebook user, posted a racial harassment and institutional negligence incident on the St. Clair County, Michigan, Facebook page.
, Brock described witnessing a group of Marysville High School football players shouting racial slurs at a Black student walking nearby.
She noted that several coaches were standing right beside the players during the incident but failed to intervene.
People Are Expressing Outrage And Lack Of Surprise Over Marysville High Football Players’ Racism!
According to ’s firsthand account, she was out for a walk when she overheard the slurs being shouted across the street.
Shocked by the lack of response from the coaches, she approached them and expressed her concern.
Although the coaches assured her they would take care of it, Brock remained skeptical.
She pointed out that if she could hear the slurs from across the street, the coaches certainly could too.
Additionally, she ended her post with a powerful message:
I won’t stand for bullying or racism. Marysville school faculty… do better! And to the students responsible for this you should be ashamed of yourselves!
In her post, many people have commented; some expressed disappointment, while others shared personal experiences from years past.
One commenter, a Marysville High graduate from over 20 years ago, wrote,
I am not surprised at all by this.
This suggests that incidents like this have been happening there for a long time, and the authorities have not taken meaningful steps to address them.
Another added,
The coaches were standing right there and did nothing? That is so wrong.
A third person voiced empathy for the targeted student, thanking Brock for stepping in and stating,
The fact that there was no correction by the adults and mentors right beside them is abhorrent and I hope that administration looks further into this.
Brock’s post was a direct call to action. She asked the school’s faculty and demanded accountability from both the students and the adults who were involved.
