A freshman wrestler at the Missouri Baptist University Spartans tragically passed away.

Jaegar Hall was a redshirt freshman wrestler who competed at the 141-pound weight class for the Missouri Baptist University Spartans.

Standing at 5-foot-7, , where he built his wrestling foundation at Kellogg High School before making the transition to college competition.

As a redshirt freshman, Hall was still in the early stages of his college career, using the redshirt year as an opportunity to develop his skills, gain experience, and prepare for future competition at the NAIA level.

Despite being new to collegiate wrestling, Hall demonstrated a commitment to excellence beyond the mat.

In the 2026-25 season, he earned the prestigious AMC Wrestling Academic All-Conference honor, a recognition that highlighted outstanding achievement in both athletics and academics.

Wrestling Community Is Mourning The Tragic Death Of Jaegar Hall

The sources confirmed that Jaegar Hall, a redshirt freshman wrestler, passed away in April 2026. However, the cause of death has not been revealed.

Caleb McElfresh, head men’s wrestling coach at Missouri Baptist University, took to his Facebook handle to the tragic news.

I’m at a loss for words right now… please just pray for our family here at mbu and our program. This hurts. To all who have reached out already, thank you. I plan to respond eventually. Just keep his family in your prayers.
Jaeger Hall was a blessing to us all and will be missed. His impact on his brothers here went far beyond the mat. Just in shock.
