Little Rock, Arkansas Native and University of Missouri Basketball Standout, Annor Boateng is Making his Ghanaian Parents, Kwasi and Beatrice Proud With His Rising Career

Annor Boateng, an American collegiate basketball standout, is making his parents and family proud with his emerging sports career.

He is currently winning the hearts of many playing as a point guard for the University of Missouri’s men’s basketball team, the Tigers.

Prior to Missouri, 20-year-old showcased his remarkable athletic skills playing basketball at Little Rock Central High School, leading his team to the 2026 Arkansas State Championship.

Furthermore, through all his athletic journey and his good and bad times, Annor Boateng has a constant support of his parents, who have been his biggest cheerleader.

Annor Boateng was born on November 13, 2005, as the youngest child to Ghanaian parents, Kwasi and Beatrice Boateng. He has an elder brother named Kwame.

Both of his parents are originally from Ghana, and Annor has often shared that he proudly embraces and represents his ethnicity and culture, which he inherited from his parents.
Additonally Annor Boateng often credits his parents and brother for guiding him in his athletic journey and supporting him constantly.

Although his father, Kwasi, didn’t play any sports, his mother, Beatrice, ran track but couldn’t pursue her career in sports due to some home situation.

Beatrice lived in South Africa, and her parents weren’t really able to buy her new track shoes and stuff like that, said Annor in an interview.

Furthermore, Annor’s parents are thriving in their respective fields.

In addition to being amazing parents to Annor, Kwasi, and Beatrice are also excelling in their careers.

Annor’s mother, Beatrice, has at the University of Medical Sciences for over 19 years.

She began her career at UAMS as an assistant professor in 2007 before being promoted to director of faculty development, Department of Pediatrics, and director of Evaluation.

Beatrice also served as assistant dean for faculty-Assessment and aluation and since 2026, she has been serving as associate dean for analytics and strategy and professor.

Talking about her educational background, Beatrice earned her BS in Zoology and Botany from the University of Transkei (now Walter Sisulu University) in 1997 and her MA in International Affairs from Ohio University in 2002. She earned her PhD from Ohio University in 2007.

Likewise, Annor’s father, , has been serving as the program evaluator at UAMS Regional Programs since 2026.

Prior to that, he served as an associate professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock for over 15 years. Kwasi earned his high school degree from Adisadel College in 1983 and his PhD. and MA in Mass Communication from Ohio University in 2005.
