Craig Braxton Barry, a former Team USA U21 basketball player, passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2026.

He chose Trinity University to better himself in his education and his athletic abilities.

Braxton Barry had successfully balanced high-level academics and athletics, building a strong foundation for a career in accounting.

He pursued a master’s degree in accounting from Trinity University. His excellence earned him spots on both the SCAC Academic Honor Roll and the NABC Honors Court.

He had gained valuable professional experience through an internship at EY, CVR Energy, and Monaco Enterprises.

On the basketball court, Braxton was equally accomplished and helped his team become SCAC Regular Season Champions and make two appearances in the NCAA Playoffs.

Moreover, he represented Team USA at the FIBA 3×3 Tournament in China during the summer of 2026.

The main reason why I chose Trinity University is because I feel welcomed and a part of a family and community of people who all have the same goals in life and strive to be the best version of themselves.
