Andrew Whitworth, a former Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams tackle, has had his longtime wife, Melissa Clark Whitworth, by his side through all his highs and lows as his constant supporter.
Former NFL star Andrew Whitworth and his wife, Melissa Clark Whitworth, are both natives of Northern Louisiana; however, they had no idea of each other’s existence when they first met after Andrew’s second year in the NFL.
Andrew was born in West Monroe, Louisiana, whereas Melissa is a native of Ruston, Louisiana.
Andrew had just returned from an NFL off-season, and Melissa was working as a news anchor, when they first met.
“Neither one of us had any preconceived idea of who the other one was,” said Melissa in an interview.
In an interview, Andrew revealed that it was love at first sight for him. He pursued Melissa for quite some time; however, Melissa initially said no.
Eventually, his persistence paid off, and she agreed to go out with him. From that moment, their connection was undeniable, and they knew they would get married and build a family together.
“She spent one second with me, it was over with,” Andrew recalls, describing the instant impact Melissa had on his life.

Melissa wore an elegant strapless silk chiffon wedding gown.
Though the couple doesn’t celebrate traditional holidays like Valentine’s Day, they make a point to express love and appreciation for one another every single day.
Andrew notes:
“I try to make sure she knows I love her every single day, and I feel like she does the same excat thing. I think just meeting them where they are. Find what people need and go meet them there.”
Andrew Whitworth’s Wife, Melissa, is a Former Miss Louisiana and Journalist
