Ogden, Utah Community Rallies Around Young Boy After Bullying Incident on Walk Home From School

The Ogden, Utah, community has come together in a powerful show of compassion after a local mother shared a heartbreaking account of her young son being bullied while walking home from school.
In a post shared in the popular local Facebook group “You know you’re from Ogden if,” Samantha Rose described a frightening and emotional experience involving her son, Julian.
According to Rose, Julian called her in tears while she was at work, explaining that two boys on bikes had been circling him, calling him names as he walked home.
During the , Julian spilled the contents of his basket and lost three balloons he had been carrying.
Though he managed to pick up his belongings, the emotional impact lingered far longer than the physical disruption.

Rose said she immediately contacted Clearfield City’s non-emergency line, hoping an officer nearby could help ensure her son made it home safely, as she was unable to leave work.
Later updates revealed that an officer responded, agreed to track down the boys involved, and advised Rose to speak directly with the school.
She also contacted the school to request documentation related to the incident, including a photo of her son’s belongings when they were delivered to his classroom.
When Rose returned home, she shared another update that struck a deep chord with readers: Julian would not come out of his room. Wanting to lift his spirits, she resolved to make the next day special, planning a “momma and son date” to remind him he is loved, valued, and not alone.

“I just want him to find a friend and socialize,” “pisses me off that kids can’t just be nice and leave other kids alone.”
Selena Anderson shared a deeply personal account of her own children being bullied, including incidents involving rocks thrown at windows and physical intimidation.
She wrote, “I saw past that bug boy act and I saw the pain,” emphasizing that no child deserves to be picked on and urging community members to help ensure Julian has a safe way to get home.

They bully because they’re jealous of him! You tell your son that. Then he can hold his head high and know the bully’s just wish they were as cool as him. I know it’s though to think like that, but it’s true. I’m sure your son is a great kid.
