Lance Scott recently shared a heartfelt incident in the public Facebook group Rossford Information about bullying and respect for personal property.

In his post, he described an unfortunate incident that occurred at the marina in Jennings, Ohio.

Parents Expressed Concern About the Bullying Incident!

According to Toledo, Ohio resident , his two sons and a friend had walked down from Jennings to play football before the parade.

However, they returned without it, explaining that a group of older boys had taken the ball and claimed it as their own.

He mentioned that he’s aware when his kids return home with items such as Under Armour sweatshirts, lunch boxes, or insulated cups that he never purchased.

This suggests a recurring issue where children may be bringing home belongings that don’t actually belong to them.

He concluded his post by saying,

We aren’t raising children. We’re raising future adults. Today they learned a lesson. Hopefully your son will too.

Many people and community members have shared their points of view in the above post.

One of the commenters highlighted the respectful tone of Lance’s message and said,

Thank you for saying all of that in a respectful, adult manner without throwing in swear 🤬 words or threats of bodily harm!!! That is why your son will grow up to be a respectful, empathetic adult. That does NOT mean those other boys aren’t raised EXACTLY THE SAME WAY. They made different choices today.

So glad you are investing in raising them with great lessons that will be teaching skills.
