Breckenridge, Colorado and Utah Communities Mourn Snowbird Ski Patrol Director Tina Biddle, 58, Survived by Husband Matt and Family

The communities of Breckenridge, Colorado, and Little Cottonwood Canyon, Utah, are mourning the untimely death of beloved resident and longtime Ski patroller and trekking guide Tina Biddle.

Tina Biddle passed away on Monday, December 1, 2026, at the age of 58; however, the details surrounding her untimely death have not yet been disclosed by the family.

Snowbird, a renowned Ski resort, took to its official site to announce the news and pay tribute to its beloved patrol director, and wrote:

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Patrol Director, Tina Biddle. Truly one of a kind, Tina was many things to the Snowbird and Little Cottonwood Canyon community. She was a leader, a guide, a confidant, and, most importantly, a friend.Tina was passionate about Snowbird and skiing and being in the outdoors.Tina was always the first one out the door and was happiest while she was on the mountain working. We will miss her immensely, will be thinking of her as we ski her favorite zones and will be spreading the love that she inspired in all of us.May you rest in peace, Tina. Snowbird loves you. #519.”

Tina Biddle was a longtime, cherished member of the Snowbird Ski Patrol and touched the lives of many with her amazing skiing skills and kind-hearted nature.

Born on March 12, 1967, in Utah, Tina joined the Snowbird Ski Patrol in 2001 as one of four women patrollers and quickly earned a reputation as one of the hardest workers on the mountain.

In 2017, Tina became the first female director of the Snowbird Ski Patrol and earned the nickname Ma Biddle, taking care of over 80 patrollers like a den mother. She served in her position until her recent passing.

In addition to being an amazing Ski Patroller, Tina Biddle was also a great trekking guide.

While in winter, she worked in Utah as a Ski Patroller, in summer, she worked as a trekking guide in Breckenridge, Colorado, guiding international trekking trips.

As an outdoorswoman, Tina worked as a commercial river guide, on the Breck Skip Patrol, and as a mountain bike guide.

Her passion for travel led her to explore many countries, including Italy, Turkey, Thailand, and New Zealand.

Tina Biddle was also a pro member of the American Avalanche Association and was certified by the American Mechanized Guide Association.

The untimely death of Tina Biddle has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and loved ones.

Many of her loved ones are recalling her memories on social media and extending their heartfelt condolences to her family during this difficult time.

One wrote:

“This is not just a tremendous loss to her husband, family , her troller army and everyone who had the incredible opportunity to savor the kindness of her heart…. It is an outright theft of an everyday gift to humanity. Tina was a very, very special , unique treasure for any of those who were privileged to be even touched by her aura. Tina was / and will always be a measure of what true care and kindness can be. May the Great Spirit comfort her tender soul.🌈”

Another added:

“Tina lit up our community and every space she was in –– and is so beloved by so many over here in her Colorado community and other home. The world feels a lot less bright today. I will miss her.”

Tina Biddle is survived by her longtime husband, Matthew ‘Matt’ Biddle, and the entire family.

Like Tina, is also an exceptional Ski Patroller and Trekking guide. Together, the couple lived an adventurous life, travelling to different places and enjoying their time to the fullest.

Tina Biddle’s contribution to the Colorado and Utah communities will always be remembered. Her family will soon provide details about her funeral and memorial services.
