Mindy Ramberg, a fifth-grade teacher at St. Croix Central Middle School, passed away on September 17, 2026.
It was her sister who revealed the tragic news on Mindy’s CaringBridge page.
Mindy was reportedly stung by a bee on her lip on Saturday afternoon and lost consciousness right after. She was immediately taken to Duluth Hospital and was in the ICU in a critical condition.
However, she took her last breath on September 17, 2026.
Mindy Ramberg is survived by her husband, Scott, and their two daughters, aged 4 and 7.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UWRF), , was a key part of the St. Croix Central School District for many years.
She worked hard to help her students learn and grow. In her classroom, she made sure to help each student do their best.
In fact, her care went beyond school lessons. Mindy took part in after-school activities, school events, and community service.
A coworker named Deb Dittman Henry wrote about their daily routine. For 15 years, they arrived at school at the same time, parked in the same spots, and talked before starting the day.
Deb said that Mindy genuinely cared and asked about her family. Mindy also asked about her daughter, Gabby, as she was her softball coach.
She also added that it was a joy to see Mindy get married, become a mother, and raise her sweet girls with the same care she showed others.
In the end, Deb expressed her heartbreak for Mindy’s family, especially her daughters, writing:
My heart breaks for everyone that knew her, but especially those sweet girls!
Fly high, Mindy! You will be so missed!
Another friend, Katy Kiemen, wrote about Mindy’s passing, whom she had met through hockey and school events.
She wrote that this summer, they sat together at swimming lessons for their children. Mindy encouraged Katy to start a job at the middle school as a special education paraeducator.
Mindy went above and beyond to help her; on Katy’s first day, Mindy waited outside and walked in with her. She checked on Katy and helped her feel at home in the job she now loves.
Katy feels Mindy changed her life as she wrote, “I feel blessed to have been touched my Mindy in way that changed the trajectory of my life.“
The details surrounding Mindy’s funeral services have yet to be published by her family.
During this difficult time, we pray for the strength of her husband, daughters, friends, colleagues, and extended family.
Rest Easy, Mindy Ramberg!
