Mark brought a gentle, joyful presence to his family and community.

Beyond athletics, he found special happiness in the holidays. His favorite was New Year’s Eve, for the simple and wonderful reason that he got to stay up late to watch Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve Show.

Mark leaves behind a family who will miss him profoundly.

He is survived by his devoted parents, Glenn Paskowitz and Cheryl Tracy, and loving brother, Steven Paskowitz, and sister-in-law, Dara.

This is hard. My nephew Mark Paskowitz unexpectedly passed away early Friday morning. This is a deep loss. We will miss him using his sparkling eyes to communicate, despite that his disabilities prevented him from using a spoken word. And of course, his smile and blowing of kisses that will forever reach our hearts. All loss is hard, and especially losing a child who relies on you for his every need.

The Paskowitz family will hold a visitation on Tuesday, December 9, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McCriskin–Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield.

On Wednesday, December 10, 2026, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart RC Church, 149 South Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield.

The Paskowitz family asked their friends and family to gather at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 AM, before the procession to church.

Following the Mass, Mark will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery, 1401 Woodland Avenue, Scotch Plains.

Instead of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made in Mark’s memory to the New Jersey Institute for Disabilities, designated for the Lakeview School or Day Programs.

Mark’s warm heart and the quiet joy he found in life’s special moments will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Rest In Peace, Mark David Paskowitz.
