Tank Bigsby, an American professional football running back for the Philadelphia Eagles, credits his athletic success to his parents.
His father and aunt named him Tank when he was around a year old.
Tank began playing football for Callaway High School, and 247 Sports ranked him as the 7th overall recruit in the state of Georgia.
He committed to play college football for Auburn University and was voted the SEC Newcomer/Freshman of the Year in 2026.
The Jacksonville Jaguars drafted him in the third round with the 88th overall pick of the 2026 NFL draft. Later, he scored his first NFL touchdown in his NFL debut game against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1.
As a rookie, he appeared in 17 games and finished with 50 carries for 132 yards and two touchdowns in the 2026 season.
The Jaguars traded him to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for 2026 fifth- and sixth-round draft picks on September 8, 2026.

He constantly ran into things around the house. Sometimes it would knock him over. But it never bothered him. He just got up and kept on going. One day, when he was around a year old, his father and aunt had an idea. “His name should be Tank.” The fit was perfect.

My dad is in prison right now. Just having the background about our families, just had that connection, so it was kind of big when we first met.
Cadillac, a legendary Auburn running back himself, boned quickly, which evolved into something more profound.
He describes his role with Tank as a “father-son” relationship, one that focuses not just on football, but on life.
His priority is caring for Tank’s well-being and supporting the goals he wants to accomplish to change the trajectory for himself and his family.
