Randy Hitsman, a former head coach of the Caddo Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly, leaving his beautiful wife, Judy Hitsman, after 58 years of marriage.
He was a great mentor who turned countless boys into men.

The football community remembers one such coach, Randy Hitsman, whose recent passing leaves behind a legacy of dedication, toughness, and profound influence.
His career served as a tribute to high school football in Oklahoma and Texas. He served as a respected assistant with the Texas Panthers and at Denison.
He built a formidable program during a long, successful 15-year tenure at Caddo Mills from 1979 to 1994, amassing a record of 86-75-3 and shaping countless young athletes on and off the field.
As the head coach of Caddo, Oklahoma, Randy led his team to the state championship in 2011.
He deeply cared for his boys and was a significant influence on so many young men. He challenged them, believed in them, and in doing so, helped build character that lasted a lifetime.
Undoubtedly, his tragic passing saddened the whole football community, and many remembered him in their heartfelt tribute.
Aaron and the rest of the 2011 Caddo Bruin state champions lost their Coach, Randy Hitsman. He was a big influence on so many young men. He really cared about the guys and was able to get the most out of them! He will be missed.

He was a native of Austin, Texas, who built a life defined by love, commitment, and unavering dedication to shaping the future of others.

He was a devoted husband. His wife dedicated her career to serving others as a Special Education Assistant with the Denison Independent School District before she began working at “Happily Retired.”
While his family was his foundation, his impact extended far beyond his home. He was a coach, a mentor, and a father figure on the football field.
Randy had a passionate and commanding presence. He deeply cared for his teams and possessed a unique ability to get the very best out of every player.
His true legacy lies in the countless boys he turned into men. He taught them discipline, resilience, and the value of hard work, helping them accomplish things they could be proud of for the rest of their lives.
His significant influence forged character and built confidence that his players carried long after they left the field.
When I hear the word legacy, I think of Randy Hitsman.

Randy is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Judy Hitsman, and an entire community of former players and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
The Hitsman family will soon announce Randy’s memorial service.

My high school football coach passed away last night. He always made sure I got parallel on my squats and made me sprint the 400m dash the entire way. He turned countless boys into men and helped us accomplish things we could be proud of the rest of our lives. Rest in peace Coach Hitsman, and thank you for being a great mentor. Praying for your family and everyone that was lucky enough to know you.
