Steve Dubin, the Director of Facilities at Boys’ Latin School of Maryland, passed away in October 2026 from a severe illness.
He was a true Laker and partook in the college football bowl pool.
Steve Dubin had been a dedicated and essential part of the Boys’ Latin School community for decades.
He graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 1984 and began his long-standing role as Director of Facilities in July 1985. He was the quiet force responsible for maintaining the school’s physical environment.
His work ensured the campus was a safe, welcoming, and supportive space for every student, teacher, and staff member.
Steve was a familiar and friendly face in the community. He was a keen football fan and was a regular participant in college bowl pools.
Nonetheless, he was always considered a good judge of the Ravens’ state.

He partook in my college football bowl pool (even when I was a student, which I bet would be frowned on in this boring time)
He was always a good judge of the state of the Ravens (I wish he made it to a good recovery period, but so it goes)
Steve’s memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, colleagues, and the many students whose lives he so positively shaped.
The Dubin family will soon announce the details regarding memorial services and ways to honor Steve’s memory.
