Billy Ray Sneed, a dedicated TANSU Self Defense instructor and lifelong educator, passed away, leaving his family and community heartbroken.

While the cause of his passing remains unclear, his loss has left a deep void in the hearts of his loved ones and the TANSU family.

Billy Ray Sneed Was An Instructor At TANSU Self Defense System!

, of Oxford, Mississippi, was a dedicated educator and martial artist whose recent passing has left a deep void in the TANSU family and beyond.

A proud graduate of Itawamba Agricultural High and Itawamba Junior College, he went on to pursue master’s courses in Education Technology at Nova Southeastern University.

Later, he served as an educator with the State of Mississippi and worked at Lee County Schools.

Beyond his professional life, Billy Ray was a fellow black belt, a mentor to the adult class, and a beloved teacher of the children’s class.

He promoted TANSU Self Defense classes and was a dedicated teacher and a committed martial arts instructor.

Billy Sneed’s tragic demise left his family and the whole community heartbroken.

His family, students, and martial arts community have shared heartfelt tributes, describing him as “one of a kind.”

 offered a heartfelt message, saying :

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Tupelo TanSu Instructor Billy Rae Sneed. Instructor Sneed was a faithful presence at every Karate class held in Booneville, always offering support, encouragement, and wisdom to everyone on the mats. His dedication, kindness, and steady spirit will be profoundly missed by our entire Big Dawgs family.

Rest in peace, Instructor Sneed. Your impact and legacy will never be forgotten.

We lost a great black belt and friend today. Heaven received Billy Ray Sneed this morning . He will be missed greatly.

He is survived by his daughter, Anna Seale, and the entire Sneed family and lovingly remembered as the son of Dr. Billy Ray Sneed, Sr., and Arah Francis Hudson Sneed.
