“They Tried to Kill Our Babies” — Drunk RST Forestry Employees Arrested After Trying to Run Over 13 Teens Leaving Basketball Game in Rosebud

Outrage erupted in Rosebud after two employees of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe’s Forestry Department were arrested for allegedly attempting to run over a group of 13 teenagers who had just finished a basketball game.
Witnesses say the men, who were intoxicated, targeted the youths because they were wearing red bandanas.
Community members are calling the incident a horrifying act of violence against innocent children.
Local mother Desaree DeNoyer first brought attention to the case on social media, urging people to share the story widely.
“RST Forestry employees 🤬 make this viral. It’s enough of this corrupt b******* going on,” she , demanding accountability for tribal employees.
According to witnesses, the teenagers had just left the basketball courts when the two men, later identified as tribal forestry workers, drove their vehicle toward them in an apparent attempt to hit them.
The teens scattered in fear, with some narrowly avoiding serious injury.
The mother of one victim expressed heartbreak and fury in a viral post.
Jme Jo, whose grandchild was nearby during the attack, said,
“All them children were our babies. My 2-year-old grandbaby was with her dad when this asshole purposely tried killing them with his truck.”
Another community member, Rewa Eagle Feather, reacted with disbelief and anger:
“WTF. I’m sharing everywhere I can.”
The arrests have fueled frustration within the Rosebud Sioux Tribe community, where many believe officials have turned a blind eye to corruption and reckless behavior by tribal employees.
Residents voiced concerns that the suspects’ employment within the tribe could shield them from full accountability.
Alex Knows, another commenter, criticized the suspects’ behavior, saying they were acting like “wannabe thugs” instead of public servants.
Families of the victims are now demanding justice and harsher consequences.
Community leaders and parents have emphasized that the children, who were simply enjoying a basketball game, should never have been placed in danger by tribal employees.
The phrase “They tried to kill our babies” has since become a rallying cry for parents and guardians determined to protect their children and hold those responsible accountable.
The Rosebud Sioux Tribe has not yet issued an official statement about the incident. However, with arrests made, residents are watching closely to see if justice will be served fairly and transparently.
