Layton Moore, an Avon, Indiana native and student-athlete at the University of Indianapolis, passed away at an untimely age of 2,0, leaving his family and loved ones shattered.

While his family hasn’t officially released any statement regarding the untimely death of Dayton Moore, according to some social media reports, he was found dead in his apartment.

Born on January 19, 2005, to parents Tamara Hogg and LaRon Anthony Moore, Layton Moore was an outstanding football player who played as a defensive back for the University of Indianapolis football team.

Prior to the University of Indianapolis, Dayton Moore won the hearts of many with his athletic journey, excelling in both varsity football and track & field.

Moore attended Avon High School in Avon, Indiana, where he was a standout two-way starter, playing both defensive back and wide receiver, as well as serving as a kick returner.

He recorded six career interceptions, including four in his senior year.

Layton also competed in track, placing sixth in the 4×100 relay at the state meet. His athletic metrics include a 4.58-second 40-yard dash, an 11.3-second 100-meter dash, and a 51.9-second 400-meter dash.

Furthermore, many of his loved ones are extending their heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.

The standout footballer, Layton Moore, reunites in heaven with his beloved father, LaRon Anthony Moore, who preceded him in death.

Layton’s father, LaRon Moore, on March 29, 2026, at an untimely age of 47.

Furthermore, Layton Moore was following in his father’s footsteps in football and continuing his legacy.

His father, LaRon, was a former high school and collegiate football star.

a four-year monogram winner in varsity football and a two-year starter on the University of Notre Dame football team.

Prior to attending Notre Dame, Dayton’s father, LaRon, showcased his impressive athletic skills by playing multiple sports, including Track, Basketball, and Football, at Franklin Central High School.

He was a three-year letter winner in Varsity football, a four-year starter in varsity basketball, and a two-year letter winner in Varsity Track at Franklin Central.

LaRon also led his football team to the 1990 4A State Championship and won the 1991 Marion County Athlete of the Year award. He was also inducted into the Flashes Football Hall of Fame.

He also served as safety at his alma mater, Notre Dame, and was pursuing a career in the finance field.

LaRon Moore was serving as a senior Mortgage Loan Originator for American Financial Network and Credit Advisor of 1 Choice Credit Solution before his untimely demise.
