Macahri Washington-Parker, a baseball player at Brewbaker Tech, passed away at the age of 20 on Sunday, August 8, 2026.
While the cause of his demise is still unknown, his passing has left a deep impact on his family, friends, teammates, and the Tuskegee University community.
Macahri Washington-Parker was a beloved junior Mechanical Engineering student at Tuskegee University, hailing from Montgomery, Alabama.
He was a dedicated member of the Golden Tiger baseball team, an active New Student Orientation leader, and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
He was known for his positive attitude, leadership, and commitment both on and off the field.
His sudden passing on Sunday deeply saddened the university, leaving a void among those who knew him.
The university has extended its condolences and is providing counseling services to support those grieving.
Macahri Washington-Parker’s Parents Were A Strong Support Throughout His Career!
The 2026 graduate, was a senior at Brewbaker Tech in Montgomery, AL, who played varsity baseball for the school.
In his junior year (2026), he helped the team to a 2-15 record, with a 1-4 region record, placing 4th in their region and ranking #331 in the state.
, he contributed to a 1-16-1 record, with a 0-7 region record, ranking #345 in the state.
Despite the team’s challenges, Macahri’s dedication to the sport and his team was evident throughout his high school career.
His parents, Tomeka and were a strong support system throughout his career.
Their encouragement and love were instrumental in his achievements both on and off the field.
Additionally, they supported his academic and athletic endeavors, allowing him to thrive as a dedicated student-athlete at Tuskegee University and previously at Brewbaker Tech.
In the wake of his sudden passing, his family, friends, teammates, and the entire baseball community are mourning the loss.
Macahri’s mother, , paid heartfelt tribute to her son, saying :
By far the hardest post we’ve EVER IN LIFE had to do was this… Son, we loved you yesterday, today, & forever more. Our hearts are just in a gazillion pieces & we don’t know where to begin with picking up the pieces.
Thank you to EVERYONE… For every visit, call, text, prayer, heartfelt thoughts, and etc… We don’t wish this pain on anyone’s worst enemy 😭
As we begin to process this dagger in our heart, we just ask that everyone give us some time, and we’ll soon be able to receive guests, answer every phone call, & every text message. Know that we thank you with our whole hearts.
