Former Coppell High School Multi-Sports Athlete Miles Fain, 18, Dies in Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident, Leaving Behind Mother Meredith and Family

Miles Fain, a Texas native and recent graduate of Coppell High School, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2026, at an untimely age of 18, leaving his family and loved ones devastated.
According to his mother, Meredith Fain, Miles Fain passed away Sunday evening in a fatal motor vehicle accident in Dallas; however, details about his untimely death are not yet available.
Born in October 2006, Miles Fain touched the lives of many with his exceptional athletic skills and kind, cheerful nature.
He was a multi-sports athlete at Coppell High School, playing for the varsity golf, football, and track teams and leading his team in several victories.
Wearing jersey #27 and standing at a towering height of 5’6”,as a middle linebacker for the Coppell Varsity Football team.
He also played running back and demonstrated a strong work ethic and dedication to competing at the next level.
In addition to excelling as a multi-sports athlete for Coppell High School’s varsity teams, Miles Fain gained valuable professional experience working as a Player Services Associate at Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa from February 2026 to August 2026.
In this role, he provided top-tier service to members and guests, managed club cleaning and transfers, coordinated golf tournament services, and maintained golf course equipment.
Miles Fain was Pursuing His Bachelor’s Degree at Arizona State University
After graduating from Coppell High School in May 2026, continued his academic journey at Arizona State University, where he studied sports business and business administration, with the intention of pursuing a career in the sports industry.
Miles Fain was a freshman at Arizona State University and served as an active member of the Sports Business Association, winning the hearts of many with his cheerful nature.
The untimely demise of Miles Fain has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and loved ones.
Many of his loved ones are paying tribute to former Coppell High athlete and extending their heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.
Coppell High School Golf Club took to its official social media to pay tribute to their former star athlete and wrote:
“Miles was a remarkable young man whose presence brightened every day.
From the moment he joined our program, he approached the game and his teammates with enthusiasm, humility, and a genuine love for learning and improving. Miles will be greatly missed, but his legacy of effort, growth, and positivity will always remain with us. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who loved him.”
Miles Fain is survived by his mother, Meredith Fain; his grandparents, Ron and Lizzie; and the entire family.
Although no information is available about his father, Miles’ mother, , has been working at Omni Hotels & Resorts for over 21 years.
She joined the company as an area manager and business travel sales representative in 2004 and now serves as the Global Account Director for Business Travel Sales.
Before that, Meredith served as a business travel sales representative at the Omnii Mandalay Hotel at Las Colinas and as an area director at Hilton Hotels.
Meredith earned her BBA from Baylor University and her Executive Master’s in Hotel Management from the University of Houston.
