Former Millington Trojans Football Coach Mark Fisher Passes Away Leaving Behind His Longtime Wife, Connie and Kids

Mark Fisher, a Munford, Tennessee native and former Millington Central Middle High School football coach, passed away on July 26, 2026, leaving his family, friends, and loved ones devastated.

While his family is currently grieving and hasn’t shared much about the untimely death of Mark Fisher, according to a social media post, the former Trojans football coach passed away from a long battle with cancer.

Mark Fisher served as the of the Munford High School Cougars from 1986 to 1994.

During his nine-season tenure, Fisher led the team to an overall record of 32 wins. The Cougars scored a total of 1,312 points while allowing 2,034 points against them.

In district play, under Mark Fisher’s leadership, the team recorded 14 wins and 47 losses, scoring 784 points and conceding 1,582.

Furthermore, Mark Fisher served as the head football coach of Millington Central Middle High School for over a decade.

In addition to coaching, he also served as the recreational games teacher of Millington Central Middle High School and as a teacher in several high schools for over three decades.

The untimely death of Mark Fisher has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and loved ones.

Many of his students and loved ones are paying tribute to the late Mark Fisher and extending their heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.

The Tennessee native, Mark Fisher, was not just an amazing teacher and coach but also a devoted husband to his longtime wife, Connie Griffith Fisher, and a great father to his two kids, Audrey Fisher Mills and Griff Fisher.

While his longtime wife, Connie Griffith Fisher, hasn’t shared much about Mark Fisher’s untimely death, she often shares pictures of him, expressing her love and pride.

Like Mark Fisher, his longtime wife, Connie, also served as an educator for decades. She worked as an art teacher at Munford High School.

She attended Covington High School and graduated from Delta State University.

Regarding Mark Fisher’s children, Griff and Audrey Fisher both attended Munford High School.

His daughter, Audrey Fisher Mills, graduated from the University of Mississippi for Women in 2007 and from Dyersburg State Community College in 2012.

Audrey currently works as a registered nurse and lives with her two sons and husband in Brighton, Tennessee.

His son, Griff Fisher, is happily married to Shannon Buck Fisher and is a proud father of two beautiful daughters.
