As per the reports, Emanuell Cooks, a student-athlete at Mississippi Delta Community College, passed away on Thursday, leaving everyone devastated.

Emanuell Cooks, a 6-foot-5-inch, 340-pound offensive lineman from Elba, Alabama, was a freshman at Mississippi Delta Community College.

A graduate of Elba High School, Cooks size and strength to the Trojans’ offensive front as he started his college career.

Wearing No. 70, he appeared in four games during the 2026 season, gaining valuable experience in MACCC competition.

Emanuell Cooks Passes Away Due To Medical Complications Following The Football Game

According to the sources, Emanuell Cooks of Elba, Alabama, due to medical complications following the football game played against Hinds Community College in Raymond on Thursday, September 18, 2026.

MDCC President Dr. Steven Jones offered his heartfelt condolences and sent prayers to Cook’s family. He wrote,

“Our entire Trojan family is devastated by this loss,” “At this time, our deepest thoughts and prayers are with Emanuell’s family, teammates, coaches, and friends. We will come together as a community to support one another through this tragedy.”

Sheila Holmes also took to her handle and mourned the loss of Emanuell. She wrote,

This hits close to home. Being a football mom, I always pray for the safety of our football players when they take the field whether it’s practice or game day. My heart goes out to the mom and his family.😢 This also hits hard for his teammates and coaches. A special prayer for my #99. Lord continue to be fence around him at all times. Emanuell Cooks Is Survived By His Parents And One Sister

A student-athlete, Emanuell Cooks, was born to his father, Rico Cooks, and his mother, Rosalyn Mc Bride Cooks.

According to Rosalyn’s , she resides in Elba, Alabama, and graduated from Elba High School.

She has been working at Elba Chevron.

On the other hand, Emanuell’s father, , is from Pensacola, Florida, and has been serving as a meat cutter at Ben E. Keith Foods.

Moreover, Emanuell grew up along with his two sisters, Ariah and Laken Cooks.

Rico and Rosalyn are devastated by the tragic death of their son, Emanuell Cooks.
