Robeline, Louisiana Mourns Former Natchitoches Central High School Football Standout David Pullen, 18, Who Succumbed to Injuries After a Fatal Accident

The Louisiana community is mourning the untimely death of beloved native and standout athlete, David Pullen.
According to reports, David Pullen was involved in a horrible auto accident this week and suffered severe injuries.
He was hospitalized and bravely fought for his life, but unfortunately, he could not survive and passed away at the untimely age of 18.
David Pullen’s mother, Renee Pullen, took to her social media to announce the tragic news and wrote:
“Just want to thank everyone for the prayers and lifting our family up. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. David Pullen is no longer with us. He went home to be with the Lord this morning.”
Renee PullenFurthermore, his mother revealed that David decided a year ago to join the organ donor registry, and the family has honored his wishes.
David Pullen touched the lives of many with his remarkable athletic skills and kind, cheerful nature.
Many of his loved ones are recalling his memories on social media and extending their heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.
In addition to his mother, Renee Pullen, David Pullen is survived by his father, Dwayne Pullen, his elder sister, Brianna Lafrancis (Justin), his nephew, Kai, his uncles, his aunts, his cousins, and the entire family.
While his father, Dwayne Pullen, hasn’t released any statement regarding the untimely death of David Pullen, he shared a beautiful picture of David on social media, paying tribute to his beloved son.
Similarly, his elder sister, Brianna, shared several beautiful pictures of David Pullen on Social Media with a heartfelt post that reads:
“To my dear sweet baby brother and the BEST uncle Duck. I love you so much and I will miss you till I take my last breath. RIP Duckie your little big sister loves you so much and I can’t wait to see you again 💙”

David was a the Natchitoches Central High School varsity football team, where he proudly wore jersey #75 and played the position of tackle (T).
Standing 6’0″ and weighing 225 lbs, David was known for his strength, dedication, and leadership on the field. He was a proud member of the Class of 2026.
David’s football journey began in his early high school years.
As a sophomore in 2026, he played for Natchitoches Central, helping the team achieve a 3-7 record (2-5 in district, 6th place) and earning a state ranking of #144.
In 2026, as a junior, he continued to develop his skills, playing tackle while contributing to the team’s efforts despite a challenging season that finished with a 2-8 record (1-6 in district, 7th place) and a state rank of #150.
Before joining Natchitoches Central, David was a at Captain Shreve High School in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he played as a guard from 2026 to 2026. His versatility on the field also included stints as a middle linebacker (MLB).
He further continued his academic journey at CLTCC Workforce Solutions.
David Pullen’s contribution to the Louisiana community as an amazing athlete and a kind human being will always be remembered.
Several fundraisers have been organized to help David Pullen’s family ease the financial burden during this difficult time and to cover the funeral expenses.
The family has made no arrangements, and the Pullen family will soon provide details about David’s funeral and memorial services.
