Eddie Freauff, the 6-foot-3 redshirt freshman wide receiver for Oregon State University, has quickly made a name for himself with his athleticism, determination, and work ethic.

Hailing from Prineville, Oregon, Eddie’s journey to college football has been extraordinary, shaped by his unique upbringing, family support, and personal drive.

Nobody liked the outcome of Saturday as we all want to win games. I suspect the players and coaches felt the sting of it most.

Try not to lose sight of the bigger picture.

Thankful for these times. The story hasn’t ended. Let’s build like Beavers do.

Eddie’s in Kampala, Uganda, where he grew up in an orphanage.

In 2014, his adoptive parents, Daniel and Jessica Freauff, brought him to Oregon to join their family.

The Freauffs had already adopted three of Eddie’s older half-brothers—Peter, Alex, and Moses—in 2012, and Eddie became their eighth child.

Due to legal complications, Eddie’s adoption was delayed, keeping him in Uganda for an additional two months, during which Jessica immersed herself in the local culture and stayed connected with Eddie through video calls.

Now part of a large, close-knit family, Eddie has six brothers—Luke, Eli, Peter, Moses, Alex, and Elias—and one sister, Susy.

Growing up alongside his siblings, Eddie developed his athletic talents while enjoying the healthy competition and support of his brothers.

Eddie Freauff’s parents, Daniel and Jessica, homeschooled all their children, instilling faith, discipline, and family values.
