Former Fraser High School Swimmer Jacob Klomp Dies at 28, Leaves Lasting Impact on Michigan Community

Former Fraser High School swimmer Jacob Dennis Klomp, affectionately known as “Jake”, passed away at the age of 28, leaving the Michigan community in grief.

Jacob grew up swimming for the Macomb YMCA Marlins.

As he progressed, he became a standout member of the Fraser High School Swim Team in Fraser, Michigan.

Born on July 2, 1997, Jacob Klomp passed away at the age of 28 on the evening of October 25, 2026.

His death at such a young age has brought grief to the Michigan community and the Klomp family.

Jacob was the beloved son of Karl and Barbara. He was also the loving partner of Nour, who now mourns the loss of her partner.

He is also survived by his brother, Alexander, and multiple other cousins, aunts, and extended family members.

Not only his family, but the entire Fraser High School and Michigan community mourns his loss.

In addition to swimming, Jacob was involved in multiple other activities. He had a talent for working with cars, enjoyed karaoke sessions, fishing, and designing.

Jacob’s family has scheduled a visitation on Wednesday, November 5, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Arthur J. Van Lerberghe Funeral Home in St. Clair Shores.

Following that, a memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Fraser.
