Steve Celmer, who coached at Platt Technical High School in Milford, passed away, leaving everyone devastated.
According to Celmer’s official page, he was originally from North Haven, Connecticut, and lived in Wallingford with his family.
He went to North Haven High School and later graduated from Southern Connecticut State University.
Celmer was a former long-time coach of the North Haven High School boys’ outdoor track and field team.
He was inducted into the North Haven High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016.

Coach Celmer was a dedicated mentor who profoundly impacted his athletes, both on and off the field. His focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth shaped many young lives. He will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his athletes and the positive influence he had on their lives. Our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
