Lamont Bulter, a former collegiate basketball star for the Kentucky Wildcats and San Diego State Aztecs, is making headlines with his recent social media post announcing his season-ending injury.

Lamont Butler went undrafted in the 2026 NBA Draft but secured a training camp contract with the Atlanta Hawks.

He was waived by the Hawks before the season began and subsequently joined the College Park Skyhawks in the G League.

On Wednesday, October 29, Butler announced that he will miss his rookie season due to a torn meniscus and ACL.

“Well, this is tough to say but I will be out for the season with a Torn Meniscus and Torn ACL. I was super excited to start the season with the Skyhawks and ready to show why I deserve to be on this stage and more.”

He further added that he has such great support around him and is motivated to ‘attack this battle.’

Lamont Butler’s girlfriend,, is pursuing her career as a Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Specialist in San Diego.

She graduated from San Diego State University in 2026 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management and Human Resources.

During her time at SDSU, she was deeply involved on campus, serving as a mentor at the Black Resource Center for first-year students and working on the BRC media squad, where she led the TikTok page.

She was also VP of Membership for the Black Business Society and an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management.

Kennedy gained early professional experience through roles at Prometheus Laboratories, MDxHealth, and Forever 21, where she strengthened her skills in HR, administration, communication, team building, and content creation.

She later joined Strategic HR Advisory, where she supports recruiting, interviewing, offer preparation, background checks, exit interviews, and program development while contributing to handbooks, hiring guides, and safety programs.

Kennedy has also shown a passion for mentorship, digital media, and community impact. Her interests extend to creative business work, including pitching ideas, collaborating with peers, and producing social media content centered around travel, food, and lifestyle.

Talking about her family, while very little is known about her mother, Kennedy Peppers’ father,, has been serving as president of Unified Modular Corporation.

Prior to that, Kennedy’s father, Ira, served as the DSA Modular Building Consultant at Peppers Consulting and vice president at SKC Company.

He also served as a business development manager at Mobile Modular, an Education Specialist and Sales Representative at Williams Scotsman, a Computer Operator at Leo’s Stereo, and a 2nd class petty officer in the US Navy.

Ira Peppers III graduated from Hillcrest High School in Memphis, Tennessee.
