Offensive Line Coach Mike Devlin Wife Julie Stands by Him After Chargers Firing Following Playoff Loss

American former professional football player and coach, Mike Devlin, and his wife Julie, share two sons, two daughters, and one granddaughter.

On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, offensive line coach Mike Devlin, along wth offensive coordinator Greg Roman, was fired by the Chargers, one day after the Chargers’ offensive line allowed six sacks in the 16-3 Wild Card Round loss to the New England Patriots.

The Chargers’ offense has under Roman in the postseason since he became the team’s offensive coordinator in 2026.

They were held to three points in their loss to the New England Patriots in the wild-card round of the playoffs.

In the Chargers’ playoff games the last two seasons, they scored one touchdown on 22 possessions, with both games ending in wild-card losses.

After the Patriots game, head coach Jim Harbaugh was noncommittal about bringing back Roman next season.

Patriots linebacker Robert Spillane indicated that the Chargers might have been underprepared. He ,

“After the game, talking to a few of the guys on the other team, they had no clue what we were doing,” “They came up and said that.”
