As per the reports, Cadet Blake Buterbaugh, a cherished member of the AS200, has tragically passed away.
Blake Buterbaugh, a 2026 graduate of Middleburg High School in Florida, was a dedicated and versatile athlete who primarily excelled as a varsity soccer #8.
During his junior year, he to the team, posting a 2-15-1 record, earning recognition at both the state (#528) and national (#2854) levels.
Beyond athletics, he was an active member of the Arnold Air Society, where he exemplified integrity, service, and excellence, leaving a lasting impact on his peers and community.

Detachment 157 Mourns the Loss of Cadet Blake Buterbaugh. The loss of Cadet Blake Buterbaugh deeply saddens us. Blake was a cherished member of the AS200 class and an active participant in the Arnold Air Society, where his dedication and spirit exemplified the core values of integrity, service, and excellence. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Blake’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. His memory will continue to inspire and unite our Detachment, reminding us of the impact one person can have through compassion, dedication, and joy.
Beth Fern Reed from Smithville, New Jersey, took to the comment section and mourned the loss of Blake. She wrote,

Per Blake’s family, funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 3, 2026, in the chapel of Russell Haven of Rest, with burial to follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.
A time of visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. before services.
Arrangements are under the care of Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery, Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2335 Sandridge Road, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.
